  9. I wrote this utility (in C) so that when I buy a Pentium (if ever), I know
  10. if it has the Pentium flaw or not. Copy 586TEST.EXE to a floppy diskette
  11. and bring it with you to the store. Check to see if the Pentium is
  12. "flaw-free", by running this 586TEST on the Pentium.

  14. I tested this program on my friend's Pentium and it failed so I'm sure that
  15. it works. Any other 80x86 computer will pass the test (you do not need a
  16. Pentium to run it; but running it on any other computer does not have much
  17. use). It WILL pass the test if the FPU is disabled so make sure that it is
  18. enabled before running this utility to see if the Pentium has the flaw or
  19. not.

  21. If you already have a Pentium, use this utility to see wheter you have the
  22. bug or not.
